IFTR gives more importance to the idea of PURA (Provision of Urban Amenities to Rural Areas (PURA), a concept was given by former president of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is a strategy for rural development in India. PURA proposes that urban infrastructure and services be provided in rural hubs to create economic opportunities outside the growing cities. Physical connectivity by providing roads, electronic connectivity by providing communication network, and knowledge connectivity by establishing professional and Technical institutions done in an integrated way so that economic connectivity will emanate in the rural areas. It is hoped that this will reduce the pressure on Cities growing without planning and create employment and opportunities for rural youth, women and unemployed in the village itself. This will not only kickstart the developmental process, but also create new business, social and economic micro hubs.
